
Supporting the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand this Quarter

A big part of our mahi at Altitude is supporting not only your physical fitness, but also your mental wellbeing. Finding confidence, feeling that hit of endorphins from exercise, connecting with a community; these are all things that encourage a healthy lifestyle and headspace.
How we show up in the world and what we can achieve is so dependent on where our head is at, and sometimes that can be a really challenging place. Looking after your mental health is just as (if not more so) important than anything else, and that’s why this quarter we will be supporting the Mental Health Foundation (MHF) and raising funds and awareness for the incredible work they do 🩷
Almost 50% of New Zealanders will face mental health challenges in their lifetime. It can affect all of us, whether it’s something we experience or a friend or family member, we all understand how tough it can be and how lonely the journey can feel - but it doesn’t have to.
As written in their own words “The Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand is a charity that works towards creating a country where everyone can enjoy positive mental health and wellbeing. A country where those who do have mental health challenges are still hopeful, connected to others and able to voice how they want to be treated.”
They have a huge range of campaigns and programmes (see here!), all focusing on:

🩷 Opening the conversation around mental health and normalising asking for help through wellness campaigns
🩷 Advocating for a better mental health system in Aotearoa
