About the studio

Upon entering our Albany studio, you will find our waiting area with comfortable couches a table with puzzles to build and our merch wall where you can find everything you need, from pole grip to socks! We have a restroom and changing cubicles available and a water cooler to keep you hydrated.  Behind our waiting area is where you will find our pole rooms. When it is time for your class to start your instructor will call you in.

Your class will consist of a diverse group, with participants of various ages and genders, all sharing the same level. Some will be attending for the first time, while others have been coming for a few weeks or months. Everyone is super friendly and knows what it's like to be brand new!

As you come into our driveway you will find 3 parking spots marked Altitude on your left and 2 right in front of the studio to park at any time. There are also a few parks that are not reserved that you can park in.

We are opposite the Mcdonalds on Apollo drive. As you head down our drive you will see Tea Total on your right, we are at the bottom next to the Electrician building.

    Ready to take your pole dancing skills to the next level? Join our Pole Level 2 class! Building on the fundamentals you learned in Level 1, you'll start going higher up the pole and learning to invert. Get ready for a challenging and rewarding workout that will leave you feeling strong and confident. To attend this class you will need to be confident in our Level 1 curriculum.

    Our Spin Pole classes focus on learning how to dance on a spinning pole and create beautiful and dynamic combos. You'll be challenged in new ways and amazed at what you can achieve. A spinning pole is a setting on our poles that can make them spin in the direction of your movements from your body weight and momentum. This is different to our regular Levels classes that are on static poles that don't move.

Madeleine was a full time caker prior to her pole career, she owns a giant ginger pup called Charlie.

She has trained full time at the NZ School of Dance for 2 years, majoring in classical ballet and has been offered scholarships with the Royal NZ Ballet Company and The Queensland Ballet Company in Australia. This passionate and skilled ballerina will be joining our team to take over our ballet barre class.

    I’ve always been into sport, football, kickboxing, powerlifting. I moved to Aotearoa from Ireland in 2018. After months of ‘oh I’d love to try pole dancing’ I finally signed up.     Karry Summers is an internationally ranked pole dancer who teaches all over the world. She has been pole dancing since 2008 and is the current Miss Pole Dance NZ, 2013 Australian Pole Theatre Champion and runner up in the 2nd Pole World Cup. Based in Christchurch, Karry travels to Auckland to hold pole masterclasses for Altitude instructors.
