Studio Owner

Sarah is Altitude Saint Johns' owner. She is very passionate about empowering people. She believes in setting people up for success and creating spaces where they feel safe and loved, while simultaneously being challenged to evolve. Altitude Saint Johns isn't her first rodeo, this being number 6 in her ownership. She is a mum to two beautiful under 5's and continues to dance, learn and grow every single day.

Helena

Pole & Stretch Instructor

Helena has been a pole fanatic since 2018, after trailing an 8 week beginner course. She is known for her love of shoes, spin pole, rock bangers, small pants and bendy back. As a lover of a good challenge and growth, Helena found exactly that and so much more within the pole community and she was obsessed from get go. Her favourite thing about being an instructor is encouraging her students to achieve their goals and seeing the lightbulb spark in her student’s when they nail a new skill! She loves sharing her passion and pole knowledge with her classes and especially sharing her obsession for all things spin! You can find Helena spinning around the studio or contorting herself into a donut (she loves those too)!

Eden

Pole Instructor

Eden started pole in 2018 when she stumbled across a pole dance video on Instagram. The very next day she signed up to a beginners class and has been committed to the craft ever since.
Drawn to the strength and artistry of pole dance, it’s been her favourite way to express herself and her creativity.
Through pole shes gained so much confidence and met the most open minded and supportive people. You can be whoever you want to be on the pole and find your alter ego, whatever that may be ✨

Ali

Studio Manager
Pole, Flow & Stretch Instructor

Ali is Altitude Saint Johns' Studio Manager, she's in charge of wrangling the timetable, organising and keeping the studio running. Ali has been pole dancing for longer than she cares to admit (9 years!). Originally from the UK, she emigrated to NZ in 2018, and was welcomed into the Altitude pole family with open arms! After 6 years of teaching, she still thrives on seeing students progress through the pole levels and the change in how they see themselves, and appreciation for what their bodies can do over how they look.

Elle

Pole, Flow & Strength Instructor

Elle started pole in 2018 as a way to incorporate dance and fitness back into her life. After a small hiatus to finish her studies, she came back in 2021 at Altitude Takapuna and fell back in love with it! Growing up doing all things music and drama, Elle has a flair for performance and loves the creativity and individuality that everyone brings to Pole. Elle loves inspiring her students to find their own style and dynamic in pole, after all, it’s for every body! A self-proclaimed unflexy poler, Elle’s strength lies in just that! You will find her teaching pole, strength and conditioning and flow!

Jess

Pole & Stretch Instructor

Jess started poling in 2018 after wanting a switch-up from the everyday gym monotony - something to excite her and keep her going back. As it seems to happen with everyone with pole, she fell in love and never looked back! She found her new love for strength and dance and regained her love for all things FLEXY with her back bendy goodness! Jess has taught at Altitude Takapuna for just over a year and instantly fell in love with seeing her students grow in all things pole and flex related. Her biggest passion is helping unlock confidence in her students’ selves – helping them be the best versions of themselves they can be especially after going through the journey of it herself! You’ll find Jess teaching what she loves – pole and stretch and flex - with a bubbly smile on her face and the best jokes ever and she can’t wait to meet you all!

Pip

Pole & Stretch Instructor

Pip discovered her love of pole back in 2019, she is an all in type of person so right from the beginning she went to every single class she could to build her strength, flexibility and musicality.
She loves that It doesn’t matter what point you are on your journey, altitude has a place for you to shine.
She loves all things splitty and thanks the pole gods for blessing her with open hips.
You will find her teaching Pole and Stretch & flex, sharing her love of spreadies with you all.

Celeste

Pole & Stretch Instructor

Celeste began her pole dancing journey in 2017 when she came across an absolute goddess killing it at Family Bar while out with friends from uni. She immediately thought she needed to get into that! She went to her first class and was hooked! Literally, because the first class was learning front hooks! Pole dancing has the perfect combination of dance and fitness. Which was amazing for Celeste because she had been looking for a fun new hobby that related to her dance, cheerleading and fitness background.
Since starting pole she has a new found confidence and strength. Which she can't wait to share and help others find the same passion, strength and confidence through pole!

Laura

Pole Instructor

Laura has recently returned from London to New Zealand and is joining Altitude St John's after teaching in London for the last 18 months. Laura specialises in classique style choreo, and has competed in Dance Filthy in the UK, as well as performing in showcases in London. She is super excited to join the Altitude Team and can't wait to meet all the amazing students!
