Ballet Barre comes to Altitude!
Ballet barre is a fantastic full-bodied workout that incorporates elements of pilates, dance, cardio and strength training, and from October, we're teaching it twice a week!
Our talented instructor Siobhan is all trained up and eager to share her new found knowledge with you.
Siobhan has a background in gymnastics and fitness and has been teaching pole dancing and aerial fit classes at Altitude Auckland for the last two years. She's bubbly and fun but don't let that big smile fool you, Siobhan takes no prisoners and will whip you into shape in no time!
You can expect classes to be high intensity, but low impact and choreographed to fun music for an enjoyable though challenging workout.
The focus is on small, controlled movements, isometric holds and high repetition designed to tone the whole body while increasing strength, flexibility, stamina and dynamic stability.
Ballet barre is the perfect way to develop a lean, toned dancer's physique! Because who doesn't want tighter abs, toned arms and a little more lift in their derriere?
Come and learn Ballet Barre with us, or supplement it with our aerial yoga, stretch or aerial fit classes. Or try your hand at pole dancing!
Ballet barre will also be a great class to supplement pole dancing with - get those pointed toes you've always wanted along with improved control, precision and form.
