    Stretch & Handbalance Instructor

    Ayana started dancing when she was 3 but discovered circus at 9 years old and stuck to it ever since. She quickly found that contortion was her thing and learnt hand balancing and aerial silks as well. Ayana has started competed in world-wide festivals and has so far done over 300 performances! She loves sharing her skills, and seeing other people improve theirs!

    Courtney started her pole journey over two years ago and has been in love with the sport ever since. In that time, she has also developed a huge passion for pole flow and all things heels. While quiet and a little shy, Courtney has grown more confident since starting pole and loves to help other students become confident pole queens as well.

    Dani started pole classes in 2017 and after finding both a love and a knack for pole, started teaching not long after. Dani says that aside from Pole being the funnest form of fitness there is, it’s seeing the increase of self love and confidence in students that makes her the proudest.

    Georgia started pole in 2018 and has been addicted ever since! She loves seeing her students blossom with their new found confidence and strength. She is passionate about sharing the mix of movement, creativity, strength and flexibility of pole dance as well as creating a supportive and fun space to meet new people.

    Lee started taking dance lessons at just 7yrs old and has enjoyed learning many genres. She found pole later in life and thought it would be a fun way to stay fit and meet new people. Lee absolutely loves teaching our very beginner pole students, because she gets to watch them get bitten by the pole bug and watch all of them progress!

    Nicole fell in love with pole dance after signing up to classes in 2017 and little over a year later she began instructing. No stranger to the stage, she has 10 years of burlesque performance and teaching experience under her belt! She is passionate about helping students achieve their pole fitness goals and build confidence to showcase their skills on stage!

    Piper grew up dancing & cheerleading from the age of 5. After struggling to find a hobby as an adult that ticked all the boxes, she gave her first pole class a go at the end of 2021 and loved every second of it! While typically quite quiet, pole has pushed Piper out if her comfort zone and now she loves helping her students do the same.

    Rhianna grew up dancing and cheerleading so when she gave pole a go back in 2017 she was head over (8 inch) heels. It gave her the opportunity to take her dance background and incorporate it into pole. Rhianna loves to see her students progress and excel! She loves the fitness, the creativity and support that being part of a pole studio provides.

    Shannon grew up playing sports and dancing, with a background in contemporary, jazz, and hip hop. She loves the challenge, both mentally and physically of pole, there is always something new to learn, and she finds it amazing to watch members conquer their goals too!

With a background in gymnastics, cheerleading, and is a certified personal trainer, Taylah enjoys facing challenges and pushing her limits, and enjoys the rewarding experience of watching her students grow both in strength and confidence.

Izelle loves seeing her students progressing in their pole journeys and celebrating with them when they nail their nemesis moves. Outside of pole she is obsessed with her cat and enjoys going out to restaurants.

Madeleine was a full time caker prior to her pole career, she owns a giant ginger pup called Charlie.

    Karry Summers is an internationally ranked pole dancer who teaches all over the world. She has been pole dancing since 2008 and is the current Miss Pole Dance NZ, 2013 Australian Pole Theatre Champion and runner up in the 2nd Pole World Cup. Based in Christchurch, Karry travels to Auckland to hold pole masterclasses for Altitude instructors.

    Jenna/Lee-Lee is a multi-talented aerialist and hair flick queen that joined our instructor team 2015. She was crowned Miss Rising Polestar in 2015 and represented us on the NZ Pole Legends stage in 2016-2019 winning the doubles category 3x times. In 2023 she produced Hair Flicks & Tricks for Pride and is passionate about sharing hair confidence at Lusid Hair.

    Glynn is almost certainly the oldest pole instructor you'll meet; a retired psychology professor, he started pole in 2014 at the age of 63 - and is still performing, competing and instructing (and still learning).     Maddie, also known as Lexi Liquid is a pole artist. Maddie's favorite thing about dancing is performing for an audience, she has been lucky enough to perform all over NZ, including for Snoop Dogg in 2023. She boasts a high level of technical trickery and flexibility and loves being able to help others achieve their goals.

    Rosie started pole in May 2018, not realising it would be the a start of a love affair. She loves the fun and creativity she can have with pole, from creating routines to using her sewing skills to make pole wear and costumes. Rosie loves the supportive atmosphere of the studio, and that even on the worst of days by the end of the warm up she is in her happy place.

    In 2018, Stacey kicked off her pole dancing journey at Altitude and soon after, she took up aerial hoop too. Through Pole & Hoop, she embraced her inner sass queen and bonded with like-minded unicorns, feeling more connected to herself. Stacey is the ultimate cheerleader, and loves sharing her passion for pole and hoop with others.

    In 2018, Petra joined Altitude with two goals: getting stronger and making new connections. After experimenting with various apparatuses she fell in love with the soft silks. ⁠She loves creating combos that have a dramatic flair. She enjoys creating a supportive and cheerful atmosphere for all who join her classes.

    Felicity joined Altitude in October 2020 and she quickly became addicted to all of the classes particularly aerial hoop. As part of the admin team, you'll likely meet Felicity when you begin your journey at Altitude. Her favourite part of instructing is watching the self confidence grow in students as they become addicted just like she did.

    Ruby has been with Altitude since 2016 and teaching since November 2020. She teaches hoop and silks while occasionally flirting with pole as a student. She loves good muscle engagement, scary fun drops, and helping her students reach new heights (pun intended) in all things aerial! Ruby loves the stage and will never shy away from an opportunity to perform.

    Becky started at Altitude back in 2013 with no fitness background. She immediately fell in love with the Altitude community and the fun challenge that pole offers. She loves the social aspect of pole, and being a part of such an amazing supportive community. When she isn't training pole or lyra, you can find her out on adventures with her dogs Sweetpea and Ninja.

    Beth started her pole journey back in 2019 and it has been one of her passions ever since. She has a love for all things tricky, flippy and dynamic and even took out 1st place for Tricks in the Dynasty Pole Competition 2023. With a background in gymnastics she's not one to shy away from those scary drops, painful moves and unique transitions.

    Laura has been poling since 2012. She's tried her hand at a variety of circus skills over the years and now mainly does pole, stretch, and acro. You'll catch her in her regular stretch class and covering when required.

    All the way from the Czech Republic, Kristyna started pole in 2018. With a strong dance and fitness background and a qualified Personal Trainer and Zumba instructor Kristyna has a wealth of knowledge and experience! But it's pole dance that holds a special place in her heart. Outside of the studio Kristyna loves taking photos and hanging with her furry friends.

    Mel fell in love with pole dancing in 2018 and joined the Altitude family when she moved to Christchurch in late 2020. She quickly developed a passion for silks as well. Mel thrives on stage, particularly when glitter or feathers are involved. She has performed at various events like showcases, NZAPP, Pole Inferno, Pole Stars, and Pole Artistry Grand Masters.

    Aerials Instructor

    Georgia started her journey with aerials back in 2018 after watching her friend perform and has been hooked ever since! Georgia has a background in teaching ballet, jazz, hip hop and competitive aerobics. As a full time nurse Georgia loves how aerials is both fitness and fun, being able to fly around and get creative hardly makes it feel like exercise!

    Noelle joined Altitude Pole in 2017. Her passion for pole has given her opportunities to perform and compete throughout New Zealand and Australia, nabbing a few titles along the way. She loves the challenges and creative freedom pole has to offer. If not on the pole or on the floor, she'll be snuggling on the furniture or on someone at an Altitude studio somewhere.

    Dale joined Altitude in 2019, and it turned out to be her best move. Two months in, she jumped into her first competition and fell in love with performing. A year later, lyra stole her heart after watching a showcase. Altitude is her chill space to unwind and shake off self-doubt. She's pumped to share the love, help others face their fears, and just enjoy the ride!

    In 2020, Ali became part of the Altitude Whānau after coming back from the United States due to the pandemic. It turned out to be one of the best decisions she ever made! Starting with pole, she gradually ventured into aerials, and before she knew it, lyra and pole became her twin passions. When she's not in the studio, you can catch her reading or performing.

    Chrissy started at Altitude in 2020 and instantly fell in love with pole. No stranger to the dance world, Chrissy has been performing and competing in ballet and contemporary dance since she was 11 years old. She was a silver medalist at the World Championships of Performing Arts in 2019 and loves the passion, creativity and confidence that movement gives her!

    As Studio Manager, Ellen is the busy bee in the background ensuring that the studio runs smoothly. You'll also see Ellen in level 1 & 2 pole, beginner heels flow, stretch, flow and freestyle, and pole play. Ellen began teaching in 2019 when the Wigram studio opened. Her favourite part of instructing is helping people achieve things they never thought they could!

    As Sales Manager, you'll chat with Kirsty when you start your pole & aerials journey! You'll also see Kirsty in level 2, 3 & 4 pole, level 1 & 2 hoop, intermediate heels flow, and pole play. Kirsty began teaching in 2019 when the Wigram studio opened. Her favourite part of instructing is joining students on the journey from first class, to achieving their goals!

Her favourite part of instructing is helping to make pole & aerials work for any body, working with people to make things accessible!

She then began teaching with us in 2021. Her favourite part about teaching is being able to help students 'unlock' skills. She also loves seeing her students' tiny wins that lead to big gains over time!

Oliva started teaching in 2017, her favourite thing is spreading the joy of pole, seeing the positive impact on wellbeing and confidence, and contributing to a fun, safe space!
